I’ve made it to the test print! β¦but let’s first pick up where we left ποΈ
So I’ve reworked the base hexagonal tile for my repeat pattern.
It’s been a moment since I last tried my hand at repeating patterns, or stamp carving. Today I’m diving back with an obviously much too ambitious project: carving a stamp for an hexagon-based pattern – also, small enough to repeat on the “end papers” of my A6-size sketchbook π οΈ.
Sorry (not too sorry ;)), this will be a long one! At the time I would have been supposed to write the June letter I was in Swedish Lapland, paddling in a packraft, sleeping in a hammock, hiking in a pathless forest, or driving our camper vanβ¦ It was a bit too much so I had to skip the letter β but shot all the more photos π .
This month (as opposed to the last) I found a lot to choose from, both art-wise and photo-wise, so here’s an eclectic mix β plus our artist of the month. Enjoy! :)
