Creating a repeating pattern with a hand-carved stamp – Day 2

So I’ve reworked the base hexagonal tile for my repeat pattern.

The picture above is how it looked on the second test, and below how I still tweaked it a bit more :)

In the end it will looked quite different because I’m planning to have only the petals white, while the rest will be dark with white lines carved out (also there won’t be this strong vertical line, this is just an artefact of cutting the hexagon in 2 to build the repeat! could have edited it out but I kind of did that in my head and did not even really notice it until now 😅️ – it was faster that way 😁️).

Let’s see how I manage the carving as I’m afraid the design is maybe too detailed (for the material, and my skills 😬️). As they say in German, “es bleibt spannend!” (~ the outcome is still uncertain – stay tuned! 😘)
