For ‘The Guest’ I have set out to summon a magical atmosphere with a hint of expectancy – through the composition, the characters’ relationships, the medium and the colours.
I have my ideas about what the title means but it is also hopefully kind of mysterious, so that you, the viewer, can be intrigued, and devise your own stories about how it relates to the illustration :)
The striking pink watercolour used in ‘The Guest’ is very difficult to scan and even more to replicate in print. It can only be fully experienced when viewing the original work!
